Please join the LOMA Society of Greater New York Team on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, Connecticut, to make a difference.
The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks raise awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer. Each event is a noncompetitive 3 to 5 mile walk that brings people together to make a difference for everyone who has been touched by breast cancer. The events raise money to fund innovative research, provide free information and support, and to help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when most treatable.
From the opening ceremony to the post-walk entertainment, a Making Strides event is a celebration of survivors and the opportunity to remember loved ones lost. It’s a day that shouldn’t be missed and won’t be forgotten.
Our goal is to raise $2,500 to support the fight against breast cancer and possibly field a team of 20 or so walkers on the big day. Please consider joining the walk with us as it will be a fun opportunity to get to know fellow members, as well as other colleagues and friends. If you cannot join the walk, please consider donating to our team to help us meet our $2,500 goal.
To become a team member as a walker, please follow the key instructions, noted below, to assist you on your quest:
If you are unable to walk with us, but would still like to donate and support the Team, please do the following:
We thank you in advance for your generous support and look forward to seeing you in October for a fun filled day.
Kind regards,
